Happy Valley opened the 2026 season in a hurry.
The Warriors jumped out early and never looked back in a 55-0 victory over county foe Unaka in the season opener on Warrior Hill.
Unaka opened the game by recovering an onside kick, but was unable to get anything going. The drive ended as Ethan Honeycutt nabbed an interception.
After Artee Bahn had a long touchdown negated for a holding call, Lane Parker broke free on the next play for a 42-yard touchdown.
Bahn scored on a 13-yard run on the next HV possession before Parker intercepted a Unaka pass and took it 52 yards for a pick-six. Nalique Anderson added a 19-yard touchdown run before Parker had his second pick-six of the night.
The Warriors held a 35-0 lead after a quarter of play.
Tyler Berry scored on a five-yard run to give HV a 41-0 lead at the half.
Anderson added a third defensive touchdown on a 26-yard interception return, while Coby Roark added a nine-yard touchdown.
The HV defense held Unaka to one yard of offense in the game.
